Heeeeeey.

How was your weekend? Mine was good. A little crazy but good.

Notables:

  • We were dog sitting my Dad’s dog all weekend and it was fun but a little exhausting have 2 active dog’s running around the house.

  • I found coffee-flavored protein powder. Seriously. It’s amazing.
  • I watched the Track and Field Olympic Trails. <——best part of the weekend right there!
  • We registered Bella for her first puppy manners class! šŸ™‚
  • I met up with an old friend I hadn’t seen in a while and had a great time!
  • I only showered once. Oops. It happens.Ā  Evidence here (greasy hair mess…ha!)

  • I cleaned out my closet and got rid of tons of stuff! It felt so good.
  • I ordered a new pair of my favorite running shoes. K-Swiss K-Ona. Truth: I have reordered the same shoe and the same color 4 times in a row now. I just love them so much!

K-Swiss K-ONA - Wmns

  • Keith and I had a midnight collision in which we ran into another passing to and from the bathroom. His tooth collided with my head. There were tears and blood. Lots of blood. Why do minor head injuries bleed so much?
  • We finally hit triple digits in ATX. Lovely. Although I shouldn’t be complaining since we had already had 15+ days of triple digits by this time last year.
  • If you want more Bella cuteness along with random glimpses into my life…check me out on Instagram. My name is ultra original: KellyBruneman. Ha!

What was notable about your weekend?

I often participate in No Shower Sunday. Or at least I don’t wash my hair. It’s kind of gross… ha ha

Significant about my weekend – we repainted the bathroom. And then decided to try to remove a soap dish which ended up completely messing up the tile on the wall. Ugh.

    • June 25, 2012 7:45 am

That happened to us only with our bathroom sink! We had an icky pedestal sink and we were switching it out for a cabinet sink and literally that stupid sink was GLUED to the wall and we ended up having to replace the dry wall and repaint just for a stinkin sink!

Awwww, Bella’s all grown up and going to school!! šŸ™‚

Oh I LOVED watching the trials! Probably the best part was a Saturday morning run with my bf. I am still so ridiculously happy that he has started running with me haha.

Coffee protein powder? Please tell me more šŸ™‚

It’s a brand called Click. Keith got some as a promotion and I love it.

Head collision!? Did you guys not know that y’all were both up and walking around? How funny – glad everyone is ok.

    • June 25, 2012 8:44 am

I have no idea how we managed that! Our bedroom isn’t even that dark! It was just a freak thing. I was scared I knocked out his tooth but apparently his teeth are stronger than my head. ha!

Sounds like a mostly a great weekend! šŸ™‚
Let’s just say my weekend started on Thursday…
We were all on the way to the Houston Space Center (we studied astronomy this year in co-op). We were also going to visit my SIL, her husband and their 5 kids. (we literally cannot tell our kids we’re going to visit them until the day before because they get so excited they can barely control themselves lol!) Needless to say, everyone was super excited about this trip.
About halfway there our car (aka minivan) breaks down on I10 and is smoking like crazy. Long story short – praise the Lord, Allyn was able to get the car started again without smoking like crazy (after sitting in the awful heat with no shade or A/C for far too long) and we drove 30-40mph to get home (it took HOURS).
Transmission problems $2600, stuck at home without a car since Thursday – priceless. šŸ™‚
But overall, could have been much worse!
Your puppy is so cute! It *almost* makes me want a dog. šŸ™‚

Eeks! Amanda…how awful! Sheesh. I can not imagine. Texas heat can be brutal especially sitting still on the hot black asphalt. And spending money on my car is the WORST!! Sorry you guys had such a rough one. 😦

    Ouch! The collision sounds painful!

Do share about this coffee flavored protein powder–where did you find such a gem?

Cleaning out closets and getting rid of things is one of the best feelings ever–more space and less clutter! I’ve been itching to do that for awhile, too…just haven’t gotten around to it yet!

If I can avoid showering on the weekend, I will. It’s just so much easier, and weekends are about being lazy. šŸ™‚

  10. June 25, 2012 12:27 pm

Ahaha – I think I actually talked about my lack of regular showering in a post this weekend too šŸ™‚ It definitely does happen. The most notable thing for me was celebrating my blog’s 3rd birthday!

I have reordered the same shoe for years, too…when you find one you like, why change it?! Love you.

  12. June 25, 2012 4:17 pm

I can’t believe I missed the track & field. Dangit!!!!! That sounds like a painful collision.

    teeth to the head…never good.
