friday
My refrigerator and pantry are scary empty. Like I should have stopped at the grocery store after work 3 days ago empty.
That makes packing a lunch hard. I scrounged around and came up with following:
- 1 apple
- handful of baby carrots
- 1/2 small container of cherry tomatoes
- pickle slices
- 2 sticks string cheese
- gluten-free crackers
Anyone want to join me for lunch?
*crickets* *crickets* *crickets*
No one? C’mon it’s not that bad.
Okay it is. But it’s Friday which means a grocery store run is on the agenda for tomorrow. You know along with 8 jillion other people.
Sigh. Fun times.
I know most of you are thinking just go out for lunch. I can’t. I work in a school and I have exactly 30 minutes of kid-free time to eat. And I am not brave enough to eat a school lunch. But they do sell side salads which actually are decent so I can always grab one of those to fill in the gaps if I need to.
But it is Friday and Friday means pizza night in our house. It has for years now. Every Friday night we make our own pizza. You know with Keith’s half looking like a small animal gave his life for his meal and mine looking like I raided a garden. It’s the yin and the yang baby. And we sometimes rent movies, sometimes go to movies or sometimes just watch TV and play a game.
Watch out kids, it’s another crazy night in the Bruneman house!
But anyway, I hope everyone has a happy Friday with a much better lunch that I am eating and something on the agenda for the night or weekend that makes you happy! 🙂
happy friday! i just went shopping yesterday, my fridge was bare too!
yea for pizza and movie night! i always loved that about you two. It will taste even better now that you’ve had to snack all day. hehe.
Happy Friday.
Our refrigerator is SCARY empty right now. Gotta get to the store today!!
Jealous of your pizza night! I gave it up for Lent and, of course, it’s the one thing I want!
Have fun!
I always end up having scrounge lunches – just put stuff together. ANd ooooh how I DON’T miss those 30 minute tiny lunch breaks. 🙂 Enjoy your pizza tonight!
We either do pizza or pot-pie on Friday nights. Today is a pot-pie day.
ps – I would happily join you for lunch! I actually think your lunch sounds good. 🙂
