my name
Do you remember in elementary school when you used to spell out your name and use the letters to describe yourself?
Like my name, Kelly:
K – Kind
E – Exciting
L – Little
L – Lucky
Y – Young
HAHA! Those were typical things I would use when I was younger. And c’mon how many descriptive words start with “K” and “Y”?
But I think this would still be fun as an adult and probably more indicative of who I am now that I have a much larger vocabulary and a better understanding of words.
K – Knowledgeable
E – Efficient
L – Loved
L – Loyal
Y – Yappy
Now these are words that I would use to describe my thrity year old self. And I am sure my 40-year-old self will use different words too. As will my 50 and 60-year-old self. What do you think?
Do you remember what words you used as a kid?
What words would you use now?
I used to love playing that game but always ran out of ideas because I had an 8 letter first name!!
I’ll just copy yours! 🙂
I remember being little and wanting my name to be different…and looking back, I have no idea why because I absolutely love my name now and would never want a different one!
Oohhhh . . . Let’s see if I can remember what I used to put.
L – loud
E – excitable
A –
H – happy
I can’t for the life of me remember what I put for the A. Now I would probably say something like, “awesome” because I’m not creative, and I think I’m awesome. 🙂
I think our teach even made us make a big poster with our words for our name hah! It’s all coming back to me. I love your “yappy” word 🙂 Those “Y” words are tough!
Yappy….Kelly, you crack me up 🙂
Oh Kelly…..I read this and immediately thought back to my room from high school. There next to all my stuff from cross country and track was this 8×11 paper that my dear friend made for me. I cannot recall what you wrote, but upstairs in my hope chest it is safely tucked away.
Even though we have grown apart I still believe you are an amazing person and very lucky to know you, with that being said I leave you with my words for you:
K-Kind
E-Encouraging
L-Lovable
L-Loyal
Y-Youthful
Love me! 🙂
Sweet Elena! I miss you!! Congrats on your recent engagement! 🙂

I loved teaching acrostics to my 3rd graders – they were so funny. Always.
