sick day part 2
Still sick. Still wishing for a neck amputation.
Here’s sick day two (by the numbers):
2 boxes of kleenex I went through
2 Mucinex pills I took
1 book I finished (The Hunger Games (book 1)…AMAZING!)
3 liters of water I drank (trying to flush the system)
1,000,000,000 I had to go the bathroom (see above)
1 shower I finally took
2 green smoothies I drank
0 number of hours I watched of Television (my brain was too fried from yesterday)
1 amazing husband who made me
1 amazing homemade chicken & vegetable soup
1 camera battery that died
1 soup picture I didn’t take.
Hmpf.
my sick day
Does anyone else lose their appetite when they are sick? My theory is because since I am so stopped up and I can’t taste anything nothing sounds appealing and therefore I don’t feel the that “hunger feeling”.
So yesterday my day of sick eats was pathetic. I started out good. At around 7:30am, for breakfast I had overnight oats (that I did have the forethought to prep the night before during the Superbowl…pats herself on back). I then had to go back to the dentist to have an old filling replaced. Who knew old fillings could go bad?? I know my dentist loved working on my sick self. Mouth breathing and all…hey the nose aint working!
I got home around 10:00am and immediately took a shot of NyQuil. About 45 minutes later, I was woken up to the sound of a chicken crowing. WTF? I went downstairs to find that Rosie, my favorite chicken, had flown the coop and was playing with the neighbor dog. In my NyQuil [drunken] stouper I tried to rescue her. Has anyone tired to be functional when on NyQuil? Oh my gosh…my reaction time was so slow and my head so foggy I was getting frusterated with myself. Anyway, one frantic call to Keith I had a resuced chicken. My hero.
I went back to bed.
Around 2:00pm I woke up and thought I should eat. I ate some leftover asparagus with a little hummus and a luna bar. So random. And I didn’t taste a thing! I swear when I am sick my taste buds totally go into hiding.
I tried to work a little from home, or let’s be honest I spent the day chaffing my nose while watching Kourtney And Kim Take New York. Seriously…all that did was make me side with Kim…Kris Humphries is a punk. So one Kleenex box later I realized I might should try to eat something else. I settled on an apple.
Dinner was a bowl of leftover chili.
At 6:30p.m. I took another shot of NyQuil and trekked up the stairs to bed.
A day in the life of sick Kelly.
Sheesh.
things
I totally want this. My organization obsessed self thinks this is amazing!!
This weekend we watched Horrible Bosses and I found it, in fact, to be horrible. The only time Keith and I laughed was when they showed the outtakes from the actors mistakes.
I did this crossfit workout from Katie and 18:35 minutes later I wanted to die.
I then spent the remainder of my Sunday watching Superbowl media coverage. I was in heaven.
I made this for Superbowl dinner.
I am now anxiously awaiting news on my beloved Peyton Manning’s future.

I finished Rob Lowe’s book…love. Robert McCallister fo’ life!
Our friend, Ashley, brought me The Hunger Games to read. So excited to start it!
I spent the weekend wearing my husband’s oversized sweatshirts. Sexy, no?
In my defense I did manage to put a little mascara on.
Oh and I am sick. Stupid cold…me and Nyquil are best friends right now.
Speaking of Keith, he is convinced that the Monday after the Superbowl, should be a national holiday. Anyone want to sign that petition?

Make a good one friends!
