the {not so} party animals
Thanks for all the anniversary wishes yesterday! I can not believe that Keith and I have been married for 6 years and been together for 8. Crazy how time flies. We celebrated by going to Houston’s. My FAVORITE restaurant and one that holds a special place in mine and Keith’s heart. (Sorry for blurry cell phone pics….and YES we are that annoying couple who sits on the same side of the booth.)
And dessert was the best part (Ha! When is it not?) Keith was a good sport and split the apple walnut cobbler with me instead of the death by chocolate brownie. See? Best husband ever!
Overall it was a great night! Now here’s to another 6 years…or 60. I’ll definitely take 60.
The only thing that wasn’t great…um…it’s officially hell here. We are in the 90’s and are expected to hit 95 degrees by Friday. It’s MAY people. Somebody shoot me now.

life update
Hey guys! Well it has been quite an exhausting few weeks but life seems to be back on track.
Highlights:
- I took that pesky career test I mentioned. Waiting on the results.
- We found a dog park about 4 miles from our house and consequently realized Bella is a water girl!
- I also had round 1 of blood testing on me to see what (if anything) might be going on with my body. Those of you who are friends with me on face book…thanks for all the supportive comments.
- I am anxiously awaiting the Draft this week although truth be told I am much more concerned with Denver’s draft than Indy’s. Who am I? Look I already got the shirt!
- I have recently become obsessed with this app and website thank to my step mom.
- We are repainting and redoing our upstairs loft! Squeal can’t wait to show you pictures!
- Speaking of repainting does anyone know an easy way to paint stripes on a wall. Please let me know. Apparently those home improvement commercials are lying because paint bleeds though that blue tape. They make it look so easy. #falseadvertising
- Keith has been playing on a Wednesday night softball men’s league and cheering for my hot husband is always so much fun!
- Keith got me new kicks. I feel so sassy running in the neighborhood now! New shoes = happy Kelly. Always.
And that my friends is life. Just one foot in front of the other every single day and using my strength to smile and accept what will be with grace and peace. I don’t succeed every day but perfection is over rated.

blogging backseat
Hey there. Long time no blog, huh?
I have a lot going on. I am taking a really big career enhancing test next Tuesday so I literally spend every single free minute studying.
I also spend time with this crazy girl.
Talk about love. She fills me and Keith with so much joy!! I will say, though, that neither Keith nor I were as prepared as we thought to have a puppy. She changes EVERYTHING about our daily routine. We absolutely love it but it has been an adjustment. Keith says we are finally doing this in the right order. Puppy first then baby. Not the other way around.
And speaking of babies. Keith and I have our doctor’s appointment on Thursday to start discussing what testing we are going to start doing. It’s a little scary. I am not sure what would be worse… actually finding something wrong or not knowing the cause of 2 back to back miscarriages both between the 8 and 9 week mark and within 5 months on one another. Doesn’t sound normal does it?
So to say I have a lot on my mind is a HUGE understatement and I just haven’t had the time or energy to blog. Just stick with me. Once my life feels like my own again I will be back to regular blogging. Wish us luck on Thursday!
