the weekend
My weekend was spent in bed.
Get your mind out of the gutter!
Like sick in bed.
I somehow managed to catch myself a lovely cold. And it was a doozy of a cold. Headache, stopped up ears and nose, sore throat, cough. It was ick.
Is there anything worse than a summer cold? I think not. Although ask me again in the winter and I am sure I will be saying is there anything worse than a winter cold?
There was a lot of this:
And lots of this:
Truth: On Saturday night I took a shot of NyQuil at 5:00pm and slept like a baby until 8:00am the next morning. That’s 15 hours of sleep. FIFTEEN! It was needed. NyQuil works on me like really well. Apparently.
And today I am feeling about 90% back to normal. Normal enough to do Body Combat at 5:30 this morning. I would say I am on the mend. I hate [like haaaaaaaaaaate] to be sick and I seriously turn into the biggest baby.
Ask Keith.
For reals.
But he loves me. And even tries to make to me feel better by renting 21 Jump Street and buying me a movie snack:
Although I am sure this would have tasted a lot better had I actually had working taste buds. Those things were seriously on strike this weekend. The movie was good though although I’ve never seen the original 21 Jump Street (before my time??) but it was a good I’m-sick-and-can’t-get-out-of-bed-so-I-might-as-well-watch-a-movie kind of movie. Catch my drift?
So it was a boring weekend and not one to write home about. I got absolutely nothing of value done so that means this week is going to be B-U-S-Y!
Hopefully your weekend was better than mine!
Happy Monday!
Glad you’re feeling better. Getting sick on the weekend sucks. I’d much rather get sick during the week!
Oh bummer! So sorry you were down and out but glad you’re back up on your feet!
So sorry to hear you are sick but I’m glad that you’re on the mend! Nothing worse than a horrible cold in the summer!
Nquil knocks me out too. I’ve slept 15 hours on there and if I don’t sleep at least 10, I’ll be so whonky in the morning.
I still had a NyQuil hangover 15 hours later! It took a good 3 hours that morning before I felt normal. It was like being in a fog. I am so sensitive to it! It has the opposite effect on my husband. It wires him and keeps him awake. Weird.
Being sick sucks, especially on the weekend. Nyquil knocks me right out too. That stuff is amazing.
Boooooo for being sick. But nice that your sweet hubby took care of you 🙂
So sorry you were sick but glad you are on the mend!! Be well!
Hope you continue to feel better, Kelly!
