i don’t do halfway

October 19, 2011

Wednesday.

Probably my least favorite day of the week.

I am not a halfway girl.

I don’t like the half way point.

I never run a race and think oh good only half way.

I think holy crap I have to do exactly what I just ran, again?

That pretty much applies to everything.

Halfway simply means I just have to repeat what I have already completed. And in Wednesday’s case it isn’t even a true halfway. It’s more like a “no” day. Because after Wednesday is over I still have to repeat the equivalent of Monday and Tuesday.

Don’t you love how my brain works?

I thought so.

Wednesdays make me grumpy.

The only redeeming quality of Wednesday is that Top Chef comes on. But let’s be honest. I tivo it and watch it on Thursday mornings while getting ready.

I guess my view-point on the halfway mark can also be looked at through the old adage: A glass half empty or a glass half full?

I am, and always have been, a glass half empty kind of a girl.

I think I get this from my Dad.

I don’t consider myself a particularly negative person but I have never in my life seen a glass sitting on a table with half the liquid in it and thought that glass is half full.

Ever.

I wish I had some witty point to make but really I just wanted to take you on my grumpy Wednesday ride.

I am so thoughtful.

I wonder if I could go back to bed and try this day again.

Huh….like that’s an option.

I guess I should just get started and see what kind of trouble I can find myself into today.

What is your least favorite day of the week?

So crazy because I always think of you on Mondays – because I remember you saying a while ago that they are a ‘fresh start’ and then again on Wednesdays – because I remember how you said you were not a fan. Now, honestly, you have totally changed me to thinking the SAME way!! Ha! Wednesday is such a blah day..and I just look forward to the shows (survivor & modern family) at night too! I guess we can both use some positive thinking today. that being said, Happy Wednesday! Haha 🙂

Mondays are usually my favorite day of the week. Ha. I do like the whole “fresh start” idea. I am glad you are starting to like Mondays but sorry I turned you into a Wednesday hater too! Ugh!

Although this doesn’t really make sense, Sunday nights are my least favorite day of the week. I find myself dreading Monday so badly. It’s silly because I should be enjoying my last moments of the weekend, but nope.

Mondays are not a good day for me….the weekend is over, Ryan is up at campus from 8:30 to 8:00, and I basically have a s#$t-load of work staring me in the face. By Wednesday, things are usually looking up! 😉

    You’re hilarious.

I have got a real dislike for Monday thru Wednesday. I love Thursdays – just anticipating the weekend. Fridays are rockin. Saturday’s are the best because you can sleep in, or get up early and make the most of it.

I would say Tuesdays have officially become the most hateful day in my week. Mostly because there feels like so much more week left to go before the weekend. And I feel you on the half-empty thing. Just the way we’re wired 😉

Definitely Wednesday. It’s just a no-good, very bad day!

Ryan Reynolds makes the day better 🙂

Mondays are hard for me….But once I get in my groove I feel better.

Wednesdays I don’t mind, but I do see your point!
