happy valentine’s day
Today is the day of love.
I know there are a bunch of people out there who are Valentine’s Day cynics.
“It’s a greeting card holiday”
Well I happen to love Valentine’s Day. What’s wrong with love?
Valentine’s Day is about the love I have for my family and for Keith. Just one special day to say
I
love
you.
Everyone needs to hear it. Everyone needs to feel loved.

I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day today filled with love and chocolate.
Definitely chocolate!
Do you have Valentine’s Day plans tonight?
the shoe is on the other foot
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
Guess who isn’t sick anymore. ME! ME! ME!
Um, Guess who is?
Oh that would be Keith.
Opps. My bad.
I tried not to get him sick. I really did. But c’mon could you resist kissing this man?
Oh wait…yes you better all resist. You. Not me.
Which is obviously how we got into this mess.
I asked him what he wanted since you know he made me a wonderful homemade soup. His response? Kale chips. My sick husband wants Kale Chips???
Part of me feels like I should reach around and pat myself on the back.
Instead I just made them!
Maybe this super green will send some healing vibes.
And if not…they still taste good.
Happy Monday!
to crust or not to crust
When you were a kid, did your mom cut off the crusts of your sandwich bread as she smeared thick layers of peanut butter and jelly inside?
My didn’t.
Because this girl loved her some crust. And I still do!
Totally embarrassing confession but, it is not super uncommon for Keith to go get 2 pieces of bread to make a sandwich (from the bag) and find them crustless.
Crusts are excellent dipping vessels for almond butter and hummus for me. Kind of like carrot or celery stick but way more fun.
So my brilliant idea? I think companies (especially Udi’s…since they’re obviously reading! ha) should start packaging and selling bags of crusts. Keith had to stifle a laugh when I told him this. He doesn’t think it will take off.
He’s totally wrong.
So mom, to my delight (and Keith’ horror) thank you for never cutting off my crusts.
Are you a crust person?
Would you buy a bag of just the bread crusts?
one step forward
Okay guys it’s Thursday and I can actually say that today I feel about 60%. Considering I was serious about a neck amputation on Tuesday, 60% is great!
I should throw a party.
Either that or write Mucinex a thank you note. That stuff is the bomb!
What I actually wanted to do today was workout.
Nothing crazy. I’m back at work today and can’t even fathom the thought of a relapse. Oh and if Keith gets sick I might cry. One of the hardest things about being sick is not being able to snuggle. [Insert Awwwwww] We are big snugglers but I have been keeping my distance so he doesn’t feel like butt too. He did sleep in the same bed with me though.
What a guy.
Okay back to that workout.
So in trying to keep things light and not too over the top I did this workout I found on Julie’s site. I repeated it three times and in between each set I did a 3 minute cardio interval on the bike.
It felt good to move.
No what else felt good? Washing my cold-infested sheets.
Too much? Sorry.
There was one good thing about getting sick this week. I finished 2 books in the Hunger Games Trilogy. Any guesses what Keith is getting me for Valentine’s Day?
I know! I know! I know!
I am definitely late to this gravy train but these books are awesome! They remind me of George Orwell’s 1984…well the basic theme…can anyone else get there with me?
Alright…happy Thursday and let’s hope I continue to feel better as the day goes on. Nighttime is worst. 😦
