it’s gonna be a long day
The weather in ATX right now is iffy. It was thundering, lightening, hailing and pouring all night long. We managed to get our entire month’s worth of rainfall last night.
Now I know it could have been a lot worse. There were tornadoes spotted in the area and several thousand people lost power and still have no power. But it was enough to keep worry wart Kelly awake most of the night freakishly checking her weather app.
Remember yesterday when I listed my irrational fear? I should probably add weather to that list. Or heck we might as well add anything that I don’t have complete control over. So you know….everything. Heh.
What I really want this morning is good coffee and these. But I am really getting water and oatmeal. Are we sure it isn’t Monday?
Also, I have a feeling today I am going to have some tired (read: cranky) 5th graders.
It’s gonna be a long day.

It seems like as soon as I leave Austin…it starts to finally rain. Both a blessing AND a curse?
I, too, have an irrational fear of storms…I’m feeling nervous FOR you right now! [And I know about cranky 5th graders…mine are driving me crazy. :)]

Hey Kelly!! I’m actually moving from Wichita, KS down to ATX this week! I think the moving truck will arrive on Friday. So hopefully the rain is gone by then.
Maybe we could do a blogger meet-up lunch some time!

Awww, I hope your weather clears up!! I saw that there were tornadoes in San Antonio– I hate scary weather like that.
I know!!! And everything that was in San Antonio blew into Austin around 3:00am. It was a noisy night. I NEED some sleep tonight!
I could use some cinnamon rolls, too. You should play hooky and come over and I’ll make us some. Hope those 5th graders were sweet to you today!
