my bff is making a come back
Earlier this week Anna sent me a quick message to tell me our girl, Keri Russell, had landed a new television role.
Turns out Anna was RIGHT! Keri Russell has landed the lead role in the FX spy show, The Americans.
Plot: the show “centers on two KGB spies posing as a married American couple in the suburbs of Washington DC in the 1980s. The drama in the show comes not only from the spy aspect, but also from the fact that the couple has two children who are unaware of their parents’ true identities. Their relationship grows into a passionate and genuine relationship, but they’re constantly tested by the escalation of the Cold War and the “intimate, dangerous and darkly funny relationships they must maintain with a network of spies and informants under their control.”
To say that I am excited would be the biggest understatement of the year. Ever since Felicity I have been a huge fan of hers.
HUGE.
And I know if we would be best friends if we ever met in person.
I know I technically don’t need another show in my rotation but I will make the room. It’s KERI RUSSELL!!
Obviously I am a tad excited.

If it’s a fake relationship how do they have 2 kids? Or did it become real before the kids? Sounds interesting. I guess my favorite show of all time has to be The Cosby Show. Still hysterical 30 years after it started.
I am not really sure…I will definitely give it a shot. I feel like she will never live up to her Felicity role to me. Although I LOVED LOVED LOVED her in the movie, Waitress.
Whohooo! I’ve been re-watching Felicity episodes because they’re now on Netflix and I always think of you. Also, Keri Russel went to my husband’s high school. Like 2 miles from our house. Uummm, I think that makes me famous. Or it means you should come visit so we can drive by and pretend she’s still there.
I will DEFINITELY be watching because I am OBSESSED with the KGB. Like really obsessed to where it’s odd. Haha! I just find it fascinating.
My favorite show is Big Brother. Lame, yes. But I love it & look forward to it each summer.
I hate to tell you, Kelly, but I have you beat in our Keri obsessions– I loved her on Malibu Shores, wayyyy before she showed up on Felicity 🙂
