movie review: act of valor

March 1, 2012

Last weekend Keith and I went to see Act of Valor.

Plot: Inspired by true events, Act of Valor, stars a group of active-duty Navy SEALs in a powerful story of contemporary global anti-terrorism.  When the rescue of a kidnapped CIA operative leads to the discovery of a deadly terrorist plot against the U.S., a team of SEALs is dispatched on a worldwide manhunt.

Review: This movie is AMAZING. It is gut-wrenching, sad, makes you feel proud to be an American while simultaneously making you feel like you aren’t grateful enough to be an American. As soon as the movie ended my sold out movie theater stood up and clapped. It was emotional and it just made me want to hug Keith for a long time and not let go. Bottom line: go see this movie.

(I just found your blog from Tina’s blog.) I’ve heard a lot people say that it’s a really good movie. I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t go see, but that mostly b/c I just have a hard time watching war movies. I’m kinda a wimp when it comes to watching shooting. (Which I’m assuming it does.)
