let’s get is started in here

September 9, 2011

One of the more depressing days in my household is the day after the Superbowl.

Just like one of the happiest days in my household is the opening day of football season.

That day was last night.

If ever Keith and I just wanted to be happy; it was last night.

The Saints vs. The Packers. Well hello, NFL, glad to have you in my life again.

However, this football season is going to be sad for me. My favorite all-time player on my favorite all-time team is hurt. Like may-not-play-the-season hurt.

Who? Peyton Manning, obviously. Do you not know me at all? 🙂

Oh Peyton Manning. He’s got a neck injury (complete with 2 surgeries now) and not many people are not giving the Indianapolis Colts much of a chance without him. Some are saying they will go 3-13 without him.

I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON MY COLTS!

In good times and bad.

For all you Tennessee, Jacksonville and Houston fans…live it up…but it won’t last.

Oh let the trash talking begin.

It’s football season baby!

Are you as excited for football season as I am?

Ah… you left New England out! Are there other teams who hate the Colts more than New England? In all seriousness… I hope Peyton gets well soon. For him, for you, for the state of Indiana…
    But GO PATS!!!!!

I love how much you love football. Its not as much of a big deal in Canada. I guess because we’re a hockey country. Football is one of the few sports I can actually follow though (mostly) so that’s something right?

One of the first things my hubs said to me when I walked in yesterday, “Did you hear about Peyton?” Me: “Yes baby, I’m sorry.” Obviously big Colts fans over here too!

TOTALLY pumped for football season! It’s a sad sad day in our house too when the Superbowl is over! Sundays feel so empty!

If by excited you mean already have the fridge packed with 20lbs of frozen wings and all our Eagles paraphernalia littered throughout the house, then yeah.. I’m kind of excited 😉

Poor Peyton! I am excited about football – more because of NCAA, but it’s still pigskin!

Dang, I’m impressed with your knowledge of football. Sadly, I’m one of *those* girls that doesn’t know a thing about football. I just go to the Super Bowl parties for the food. 😉
