my monday theory

April 11, 2011

I firmly believe there are two camps of people when it comes to Monday. You either hate Monday or you love Monday. I happen to be a Monday lover. I love starting my week with clear goals and things to accomplish. In fact Monday always seem like a new beginning to me. I love that. It is a great “default” day to make mini-goals. Does anyone else do this? I am hoping you do…c’mon make me feel more normal!

Monday Goals:

Healthy Living:

  • Bootcamp (M and W evening; F morning)
  • Cardio (T, Th and Saturday mornings)
  • Softball game (Sunday night)
  • 1 new recipe this week

Professional:

  • Continue to work and develop my website for ‘Healthy Living With Kelly’ meal delivery.
  • Draft/Edit the ‘Healthy Living With Kelly’ weekly email.
  • Send/out feedback form to clients on meal/meal delivery program.

Personal:

  • Accept what can not be changed and instead look for what can be learned.

                  HAPPY MONDAY!

    Happy Monday!

I haven’t found my camp yet – I like Mondays, but we aren’t in love.

I had no idea that was your new business, how fantastic!!

I’m not a hater or a lover. Its just another day. But, since I work on weekends too, the days of the week don’t really mean much to me. I am looking forward to that changing!

    Are you done with BFL?

I think it’s great that you set weekly goals! I am not a Monday lover but DO like starting fresh MOnday morning (if I don’t have to work…I love mondays!). Great goals! If you try the penne…I wrote the recipe with the lemon already cut back. I halved what the original recipe put!

I like the goal idea. Gives you something to look forward to for the week.

It all depends — if I got plenty of stuff done on the weekend I don’t mind Mondays, but if I feel behind on sleep and I have a busy week coming up, I hate Mondays 😦

I love that you make goals like this though — I’m sure you’ll do great!

I think I like that last goal the best. 🙂

And I have a love/hate relationship with Mondays. I really love the feeling of a fresh start and back into my regular routines…but the weekends are always so fun too!

So funny Kelly, I STILL to this very day am reminded of you each & every Monday because I remember a while ago (on your old blog) how you said to start your Monday off on the right foot- plan new goals & just have a good outlook on the day.
Now I don’t mind them much either 🙂
Love your positive attitude about them!

I do love that I can start mini-projects/start fresh on Mondays. Usually by Friday I have given up on picking up around the house and/or trying to cook dinner or keep sane. But come Monday, I can say ‘I can do this!’ Of course, then EVERY week is like Groundhog’s Day because I usually fail by Friday. Ha!
